Giant balloons, marching bands, lighted floats, equestrian units, fire trucks, performing dance groups, motorcycles, and more join forces to present a dazzling and entertaining night of fun for all ages! And best of all, Santa himself makes a grand appearance to greet all his loyal fans as the evening winds down and many families take the opportunity to also visit the amazing Holiday Lights at the Beach! The Holiday Parade at the Beach begins at 5:30pm, and travels North on Atlantic Avenue from 15th to 25th Street.
Craft beers from over several breweries are available for sampling at the Virginia Beach Craft Beer Festival at the 24th Street Park at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. Tickets include sampling and a commemorative glass. Live music sets the stage for the perfect outdoor setting for tasting some of the best beer brewed!

Live Webcam of the Holiday Lights! 30,000 vehicles a year make the trek through this holiday wonderland. This “Fanta-Sea” of lights is sure to dazzle and amaze holiday travelers visiting Virginia Beach. Hotels create special packages that include free tickets to the light show.
This fun 5k starts on 19th Street in front of the Convention Center and finishes inside the Convention Center. It's a run for the whole family! All participants will receive a technical fabric race shirt, and all finishers will receive a unique medal. Top three finishers for overall, masters, and each age group will get awards. Sign everyone up for this one! Frosty's 5k is open to participants of all ages. Parents or guardians are encouraged to run with their minor children but must be registered for the race.
The TowneBank Shamrock 8k will be celebrating its 38th anniversary on March 16, 2013! The double loop 8k course is flat and fast and the perfect place for a PR (personal record). The race is limited to 9,000 participants and will feature a wave start. The scenic course is on paved roads in the heart of the resort area of Virginia Beach, and the compact nature of the course results in thousands of excited fans cheering you on as you run or walk!
The Anthem Shamrock Half Marathon will be celebrating its 8th anniversary in March, 2013! The half marathon loop course takes you north from the Virginia Beach resort area past welcoming residential neighborhoods and then along tree-lined Shore Drive, adjacent to First Landing State Park, on its way to Joint Expeditionary Base, Ft. Story. In Ft. Story, participants will pass by the site where John Smith, Christopher Newport, John Rolfe and the other Jamestown colonists first landed in America in 1607, and by the Cape Henry light house--the oldest standing light house in the United States.

The Annual Samuel Adams Surf-n-Santa 10 Miler starts at 8am at the Virginia Beach Convention Center. All santas will run through the oceanfront area, under the lights, through local neighborhoods and finish inside the Convention Center for a Rockin' Holiday Party. The Dodge Rock 'n' Roll Virginia Beach Half Marathon course stretches 13.1 seaside miles through one of America's most scenic beach communities. The race starts adjacent to the Virginia Beach Convention Center, runs through the resort area and Camp Pendleton, and now finishes North on the Boardwalk with a quick 11 block sprint to the finish.
