Virginia Beach Boardwalk Oceanfront Bike Path

The 3 mile long Virginia Beach Boardwalk is among one of the most popular attractions in the Virginia Beach area. Live webcam of the bike path. Throughout the summer the boardwalk hums with tourists taking in the scenic views and beach along the oceanfront. A paved, separated lane alongside the boardwalk is provided exclusively for bicyclists and surrey rentals. With separate biking and walking paths, cyclists can ride their beach cruisers along the boardwalk without worrying about pedestrians. The bike path runs along the entire length of the boardwalk from 2nd street to 40th street.

The Virginia Beach Boardwalk Bike Path has the following rules:
– Bicycles and surreys must yield to crossing pedestrians.
– Bicycles and surreys are only allowed on the bike path.
– Roller skates and roller blades are allowed on the boardwalk but not on the bike path.
– Virginia Beach municipal code states: Electric bikes (e-bikes), electric scooters and skateboards are not allowed on the bike path adjacent to the boardwalk.
